Six Tips for Healthy Skin

by our Skin Care Consultant and member of the Ribbons and Pearls team, Karine Antinoro

  1. Rather than adding more cream to dry skin, use a gentle scrub to remove it then reapply.
  2. Always wear sun protection cream or a moisturiser with an SPF 15, just walking to the car or sitting by an open window with the sun streaming in can damage our skin.
  3. Test your cream to see if it is the right one for you, apply and wait 5 minutes. If the cream sits on the skin it will be clogging up your pores, so try a lighter one.
  4. Remember that while you sleep your skin is repairing itself, so it is vitally important to remove all traces of make-up, but that does not mean doing it late at night before jumping into bed when you are tired. Wash your face when you get in from work or after dinner.
  5. Prevent skin blemishes by making sure that your pores do not get clogged up, use a peel once a week.
  6. Be kind to your hands and massage in cream with almond oil extract.
