Skin, Eyes, Lips and Nails

Foundation

Regardless of your skin type, there's always a foundation for you, from a Sheer Tint often in 3 different shades through to an Oil-Free Matte and an Ultra-Firming foundation, now available with SPF. The best way to do the test is to apply a minute amount on your jaw line and it should be as near to your own skin colour as possible, apply either with a small triangular sponge or make-up brush.

I have dark circles and have to use a concealer everyday, which works wonders. It glides evenly and often also helps the skin from becoming dry and dehydrated. The best way to apply is to dab lightly with your little finger or ring finger as they are the lightest, as if you rub, you drag the skin and in time develop lines and saggy skin.

An alternative to a foundation is a Shimmer Bronzer brushed lightly with a sweeping down movement to flatten the delicate hairs on your face, leaving your face with a heathy glow.

Eyes

The eyes have it and eyeshadows can completely transform your eyes, from a sheer look to dramatic and sultry colouring. Define your eyes with eye-contouring pencils, curly-lash mascaras and eye-defining powders. Don't be afraid to build your colours gradually and create a confident look. But the secret is to use the right tools for the job, so invest in good quality make-brushes for professional application.

Lips

For luscious and kissable lips, your choice of lipstick can be the most important item in your purse. A simple retouch now and again can take you from your working day to your date! But if you feel that colour is not always the order of the day, still look after those lips with a moisturiser to soothe and nourish dry skin, as you never know when you will need them next! Go from intense colours to glossy shine and preferably apply with a lip brush if called for. A tip from me: apply one coat, dab with a tissue, apply a very light dusting of make-up powder and then a second application of lipstick - it normally lasts longer.

Nails

And finally our beautiful groomed nails! It all starts with manicured nails and a daily application of hand cream. Two coatings are a must, especially if you go for high-shine lacquer. The choice of colours is endless and fun to play with, all shades to complement any outfit, from pastel to ruby to dark brown and beyond.

So have fun and keep looking your best from top to toe!
