Make your Hair Look Stunning

- Be kind to wet hair - Make sure you shampoo and dry gently. Comb wet hair, do not brush or yank at hair as you will cause breakage, ripping away its cuticle protection.
- The Dreaded Split Ends - Keep your hair trimmed on a regular basis, applying conditioner regularly. Applying a hair masque once a week will also leave your hair with a clean, even look.
- Don’t Tease Hair - Always comb hair downwards, helping the cuticles to smooth and lie flat.
- The Frizz - Most people have a frizz attack at some point, usually when the weather is wet and rainy. Control this by using the right care products designed to fight them.
- Hair and Sun - Before stepping out onto your lounger, apply a good conditioner with sunscreen. The heat of the sun will help the action of the conditioner and block out UV rays. Use a good clarifying shampoo after swimming. Look out for E.D.T.A which removes chlorine from the hair.
- Dry Hair - With a lack of natural oils, you need to make sure your hair is constantly moisturised, especially when blow drying or hot combing. Avoid chemical treatments if you can; there is no need to shampoo everyday. If you have coarse, dry or super-curly hair, you might only need to shampoo once a week to maintain a fresh look. But don’t forget to choose a moisturising shampoo.
- Oily Hair - This does mean shampooing everyday, keep hair clean, clean, clean. If you exercise and sweat a lot, you might need to shampoo twice a day with a good cleansing shampoo and use conditioner sparingly.
- Thick Hair - How lovely! Although combing can be a challenge, use a finishing-rinse conditioner with silicone or a leave-in treatment. Get a good haircut that compliments your face. Leave-in conditioners are great for coarse and curly hair too; not only does it help to detangle the hair, it also protects from heat styling.
- Thin Hair - Sometimes this might mean limpness, so try products that build up volume as they puff up each strand and make it look fuller. By applying mousse to the roots it can make the hair appear thicker.
- Fuller Hair - Try spraying the roots with a light hairspray while holding with a round brush.
- Smooth Hair: Use a shine or glosser as it helps to keep the hair smoother and protects it.
It's all in the Water - Lastly, an important point to remember if you live in a hard water area is always to use a conditioner as it will protect the hair against UV rays, pollutants and heat styling.
