Abi Parker from Windsor in Berkshire has set up a Wedding Dress Hire Shop in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. It offers employment for local women who would otherwise have to fend for themselves, and provides a great service for women hoping to be married in a proper wedding dress, which normally is unheard of in small villages where there is hardly any provision for staple things, never mind wedding clothes. If you can find it in your heart to donate your wedding dress to this wonderful cause, Abi will ensure that it is shipped over to Africa to help raise funds and make bridal dreams come true. Abi is going back to Zambia in August so don’t delay - make sure your second-hand dress is going with her!
